Welcome to Parentalk - The Primary Years

A parenting course for Dads

Being a parent is one of life's greatest joys, but it is also one of its biggest challenges and there's hardly a dad on the face of the earth who, at times, is not overawed by the task of parenting. Parentalk is a relaxed, informal course giving you the opportunity to talk about the day-to-day challenges you face, as well as sharing the things that are going well. Over six sessions, Parentalk looks at valuable principles that can be applied on a day-to-day basis with your children. We use materials from Care for the Family, a well-known families' charity, that include videos and work books.

The six sessions are:

• It's not just me
• Love them and let them know
• It's good to talk
• Boundaries and battles
• Parenting with elastic
• Creating a sense of belonging

We will meet on six Monday evenings (7.30pm - 9.00pm) at Teddington Baptist Church for guided discussions over a pizza.
