He makes it all.
He loves it all.
He allows free will.
He wipes it clean.
He chooses His people..
He guides His people.
He saves His people.
He reveals His will.
He provides His law.
He sends His prophets.
He waits in vain.
He sends His Son.
He comes in flesh.
He lives among us.
He teaches His disciples.
He dies in agony.
He leaves the grave.
He shows new life.
He ascends to heaven.
He sends His Spirit.
He saves His chosen.
He dwells in hearts.
He builds His church.
He returns in triumph.
He reigns in glory.

God made the world and us. It was good. We turned our backs on God. He sends a flood, so he can start again with one man's family and the animals. God tells us the way we should live. Man still ignores him. He sends Jesus his son, to tell us of God's love for us. We don't follow his ways. We nail him on a wooden cross. He rises from the dead to save us from our sinful ways. Followers of Jesus spread the good news, and tell friends who believe of a new life and home with God.

God created All things well. Gives free will to humans so we can make choices. Raises leaders to do his work. Reveals his laws to live by, and guides mankind. We let him down by our words and actions. He is our judge. He speaks to us. He saves us. God sent His Son to live amongst us. Jesus calls and teaches his disciples. He heals, forgives, loves us. Demonstrates His power in many different ways. Gives hope and purpose. Put to a cruel death and overcomes it. Returns in triumph. God builds and sustains his church. Now reigns supreme.

He sent his holy word which brought us freedom and new life. Telling us that a new world will be here. He also saves us all. Also guides our holy lives in many ways. God spoke. Our Bible has so many lovely words for us to read in many ways every day. The holy book can teach you more about how he is not far away from any of us. And reading his life feels what faith is all about in this book. Everyone can enjoy this book to find God. This book has been here for many years today.

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that man, in possession of a mind, must be in want of God. So the record relates ... he seeks him ... acknowledges rules for living ... displays a compulsive disobedience ... rides a historical switchback ... gains release from captivity ... receives friendly advice ... sternest warnings... second chances galore ... retains an unquenchable hope ... spurns the ultimate gift - rejected yet unconquered ... a death, a rising, a revolution of thinking ... a new dawn ... a clear pathway ... a road to God who patiently waits for the penitent mind.

In primordial time ... God came lovingly, creatively, making the whole world and giving it to man; but arrogant man foolishly loved himself more than God;
In ancient time ... God came lovingly, repeatedly, offering reconciliation through law and the prophets; but arrogant man kept playing God for a fool;
In due time ... God came lovingly, sacrificially, offering reconciliation through his Son's death; but arrogant man thought God was playing the fool;
In apocalyptic time ... God will come lovingly, powerfully, to welcome those who have responded to his love; but arrogant man will be left playing the fool.

A long time ago, man rebelled against God, his maker, and established an evil empire centred on a death star. A few resistance fighters loyal to God fought on without much success.
Then God sent his promised special agent who destroyed the death star from within. His successful escape from the exploding death star breathed new life into the resistance. Even so, in a desperate final battle, the evil empire seemed about to triumph.
But God's special agent returned with a host of flying fighters, they swept all before them, the evil empire was defeated and banished for all time.

God said, 'Let there be light'. His creation was born. A relationship with his people began. They were disobedient. The light dimmed.
There were glimmers of light as God built his nation. He sent prophets who foretold that the brightness would return.
Silence.
Then Jesus, the light of the world, was born. He taught, performed miracles, was rejected and killed. They thought that the light of love had been extinguished.
He returned from death, gave power to his followers to spread the light throughout the world. It will be seen in all its fullness by the whole of God's creation.

The perception of God grows from creation to the future. People misunderstand, grow angry through a whole gamut of stories and insights, God intervenes in the affairs of man and his chosen person, Jesus, shows what God is really like - a forgiving and loving person who helps everybody in their search for truth. People are encouraged to love God, love their neighbours and to love as Jesus did. Whatever happens, God is there to support, help and guide. We all need to communicate with him. Hope is there for everyone to share.

God speaks, a new earth is born.
The world is spoilt and God floods it clean.
The promise is shrouded in slavery but found again in freedom.
Judges judge without justice and kings rule without power.
Meanwhile prophets keep the hope alive, singing of a better day to come.
The promised child is born and the better day comes.
They call him Jesus, in hopes or expectation.
Rejected by his own earth, he dies a cruel death,
and undergoes a miraculous resurrection.
Empowered by him, new prophets sing a new song.
Hope lingers now on a new horizon.
God speaks...

First came the Word, and life flourished.
Then God brought man to Eden,
A garden of choices.
Man chose poorly, the pattern to come.
Despite God's covenant,
Israel rebelled and was exiled.
Endlessly, God forgave them,
Endlessly, man still chose poorly.
A new covenant was needed.
The prophets foretold it -
'the capstone the builders rejected'.
Sure enough, God sent his only son, Jesus.
We chose badly, but He chose to die - for us.
He took our sin on Him as He died on the cross.
Resurrected, he promised His return,
And a new deal, a new heaven - a new hope.
